A Story For Tomorrow

A Story For Tomorrow.

It is extremely rare to find a film that is … perfect; when cinematography and writing are equally excellent. This is what Dan Riordan and Dana Saint (aka gnarly bay productions) accomplished in A Story for Tomorrow. How? Well, it’s a combination of several things: The film is a modern day (travel) fairy tale, filled with lots of interesting characters and creatures, expansive deserts, lush forests and snow capped mountains of Chile and Patagonia. Plus the great voice of Castulo Guerra, who is the icing on the cake.

For me, the most important thing is the way in which it appeals to the viewer/traveller. In a way, we’re all looking for some sort of solution, right?! The joy and energy in this production seems to hint that there actually is an answer somewhere out there …

I think it is the most outstanding, breathtaking and heart-stirring travel film I’ve seen in a really long time. Watch it full-screen, all the way to the end and with all you heart & soul.

“A Story For Tomorrow.”

  1. I watched that on full screen – yes that has to be the only way to watch it. I got butterflies in my stomach. My throat tightened and I wanted to cry. The beauty of the world overwhelmed me. And the possibilities. As you say, it is perfect, totally and utterly perfect. Words and pictures in total harmony with each other and with the human soul. And, yes, the voice is the icing. Afterwards I just sat here for several minutes, still feeling the effects. Very grateful to you for posting that today. I needed it too.

Hey Linda. First of all, I’m really glad you enjoyed the film as much as I did. I know exactly what you mean … when the film came to an end, I sat in front of my computer with all these emotions and thoughts running through my mind and body. Somehow the story is a real boost and at the same time it makes you want to cry. And yes, the beauty of the world overwhelmed me just as much. Have an amazing weekend!

  3. Magical, Nisa! I had to watch this twice, and still I feel like I could watch it again and again.
I have just sent this to a friend who recently lost her brother who was deployed in Afghanistan – she has just started traveling again and is slowly being reminded of how beautiful the world is despite her sorrow. I think this will help inspire her to continue.

    Hi Cheria!
Thanks for your comment. I’m really glad you liked the video. I think by now I’ve watched it 10 times or so and Chile made my top 3 list of “must-see” places … :)
I’ve also sent it to a some of my friends because – as you said – it’s really inspiring and it just makes you want to get out there and explore. Whether this means far away places or your hometown just around the corner.
Hopefully your friend will find peace with her loss and the strength to continue travelling. I wish her all the best!
